Hey fellow Trader Joe’s fans! I’ve been a huge fan of Trader Joe’s for years – I love the vibe of the store, the curated selections, easy meal prep items – and of course all the amazing fall items they have in their stores starting in September!! Trader Joe’s is known for introducing new fall products each year – plus bringing back those products we love that are only available this time of year! We went to our local Trader Joe’s and bought all the popular pumpkin, apple, and butternut squash items we could find to try and share our real thoughts on each of these products. Sometimes it’s HARD work, you guys! :)
I hope you guys find this helpful and would love to hear in the comments what your fave fall Trader Joe’s items include! Which one(s) do you want to try?
We Tested Trader Joe’s Fall 2022 Items — Here are Our Favorites!
Fall Breakfast + Bakery Foods from Trader Joe’s
This has been a fave for a few years. What’s better than pumpkin bread (or muffins) paired with coffee on a fall Saturday morning?! I highly recommend this one – as well as the GF pumpkin bread option as mentioned by one of our editors.
This pumpkin butter is a special treat to pair with the pumpkin bread or on toast during this time. Top your oatmeal, waffles, or even add to a smoothie!
3. Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Bagels and Pumpkin Cream Cheese Spread
I’m typically not a bagel person but if you are a bagel person – or looking for a special treat – these were delicious paired with the Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Cream Cheese spread. Kind of the perfect way to start your weekend….plus my kids love these as well!
4. Pumpkin Rolls
I’m normally not a morning roll kind of person, but these were SO GOOD! They come with pumpkin spice icing and pair it with a cup of coffee for a weekend treat and you will feel like fall is here! (even if it’s still 90 degrees outside!)
Trader Joe’s Fall 2022 Snacks
These pumpkin tortilla chips were surprisingly really good! I wasn’t sure since they have cinnamon and nutmeg on them – seemed a bit strange for a tortilla chip – but it works! Would definitely buy again!
This Fall Harvest Salsa is such a great salsa. I paired it with the Pumpkin Tortilla chips (which was surprisingly good) as well as with my fave black bean chips. Definitely getting more of this salsa this fall.
8. with Trader Joe’s Apricot Cherry Cranberry Goat Cheese
I LOVE LOVE putting together charcuterie boards – esp in the fall + winter. I typically love the cranberry goat cheese that Trader’s Joe’s carries in Oct/Nov, but this Apricot Cherry Cranberry Goat Cheese is only available in the fall and SO GOOD! If you love cherries and cranberries, this cheese pairs amazingly with the Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Cranberry Crisps. I usually go for their Fig crisps, but had to try this seasonal fall flavor, Pumpkin Cranberry and this was a winner! This combo will be a stable on our cheeseboards this fall!
This is pumpkin spread is so great to add to your cheeseboard! We used the Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Cranberry Crisps, topped with some goat cheese and then spread the pumpkin spread on top – SO YUM! Doesn’t really taste pumpkin-y to me, but does taste good! Definitely add this to your fall cheeseboards this year!

10. Pumpkin Gnocchi (new for 2022)
I was so excited about these (they are new for 2022!) but then got nervous that they would taste bland…boy was I glad I picked these up. They were SO GOOD you guys!! Easy to make and I served them with a sage brown butter sauce and some toasted walnuts (along with some grilled chicken). Made a perfect fall meal. The gnocchis are the perfect bites of pumpkin – not too sweet, but you can taste the pumpkin. Definitely buying more of these! Plus they are only $2.99!
11. Trader Joe’s Spicy Pumpkin Samosas
We tried these pumpkin samosas last night and they were surprisingly good as well! The perfect amount of spice (not too spicy, but a good spice!). Perfect as an appetizer before dinner.
12. Butternut Squash Ravioli
This is one of my FAVE fall dinners. They were sold out last week (the woman I spoke with from my Trader Joe’s said they can’t keep these on the shelves – along with the Butternut Squash Mac + Cheese). I love making these with some brown butter sauce, a bit of sage and parmesan – yum! Pair these with some grilled chicken for an easy fall dinner.
13. Butternut Squash Mac and Cheese
This one surprised me! I wasn’t planning to try it as I’m not a big mac + cheese person, but after finding out they were out of the Butternut Squash ravioli, one of the Trader Joe’s workers said I needed to try these. There was one box left when I looked for it, so I said why not?! And you guys, it was SO GOOD. And easy to make, just heat in the microwave (gotta love that)! I paired it with some grilled chicken and roasted green cauliflower for a yummy fall dinner.
14. Riced Cauliflower & Butternut Squash Risotto
We eat a lot of grilled chicken and I’m always looking for new veggies to pair with it. This riced cauliflower risotto was so easy to make and a delicious side to pair with grilled chicken (I think it would be great paired with flank steak as well!).
15. Harvest Spaghetti Squash Spirals
This was another easy one to make…not a ton of flavor to this one but wasn’t horrible. It works for an easy side to pair with grilled chicken. My family didn’t love it, but didn’t hate it…probably would skip it, but if you need something healthy and easy – it does meet those requirements!
This Autumnal Harvest Pasta Sauce is one of my faves. I wish it was sold all year! I love using it as a sauce with grilled chicken or pairing it with a cheese ravioli. Definitely recommend.
17. Pumpkin Curry
I love the Trader Joe’s Yellow curry sauce, so I was excited to try this one. I simmered it with some chicken and cauliflower and some farro. It had a perfect amount of zing as well! Not too spicy, but some great flavors. Definitely recommend it as well.
18. Pumpkin Alfredo Sauce
This sauce is great to spice up a pasta – but not have that feeling of so feel you often get from alfredo – it doesn’t feel that heavy which I appreciate. I added some turkey sausage to the sauce and mixed it in with some pumpkin pasta. A perfect easy fall meal!

19. Pumpkin Pie Spiced Ginger Brew
I love a Moscow Mule and one of my fave tips to mix things up for fall, is to use this Pumpkin Pie Spiced Ginger Brew in the Mule. Enjoy! And if you need a copper mug, here is a mug set I love.
20. La Colombe Pumpkin Spice Draft Latte
So, technically this isn’t a Trader Joe’s product, but I found it at Trader Joe’s and haven’t seen it anywhere else yet, so I’m including it! :) For me, pumpkin coffee drinks can really be a hit or miss, this one luckily was a big HIT. I’m a fan of their Oat Milk Lattes and this had the perfect amount of pumpkin flavor without being too sweet – I’m not a fan of super sweet coffee…I will for sure buy more of this!
21. Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Ginger Ice Cream Cones
This is one of my favorite items every fall! Definitely get these if you haven’t tried them! SO SO good!! I love a tiny bit of something sweet, so these are the perfect size (and they are under 100 calories per cone). The pumpkin ice cream with the ginger cone is the PERFECT combo. Definitely add these to your list if you pick up one fall item on your next shopping trip! Also – these sell out fast, so try going first thing in the morning to score a box of these! :)
22. Caramel Apple Mochi (new for 2022!)
I was excited to try this one as I do love mochi! If you like a sweet caramel apple, I think you will love this one. It was a bit too sweet for me, but did really taste like a caramel apple! I heard from a lot of you that you loved this one so definitely give it a try if you love caramel apples!
23. Pumpkin Cheesecake Croissants (new for 2022!)
Ok, this is probably my MUST TRY for 2022! If you love cheesecake and croissants, it’s the perfect combo with just the right amount of pumpkin taste. This is found in the frozen section and comes with 2 croissants.
A perfect afternoon treat with a cup of hot tea or coffee. Flakey wafers wrapped around pumpkin sweetness. Yum. My 9 year old daughter is a big fan as well!
25. Pumpkins & Gourds
I LOVE LOVE having so many pumpkins around my home for the fall season. Trader Joe’s typically has the best prices for the Cinderella pumpkins (which I LOVE!) as well as lots of other small pumpkins and gourds.
26. Fall Candles
This was a new-to-me find as well! Did you know they sell candles?! I had no idea, but the candles are made with a soy wax blend and a lead-free cotton wick (which is so important! more on our fave non-toxic candles here). They have 2 scents for fall which smell SO good. Vanilla Pumpkin and Honeycrisp Apple.
What else did we try that we didn’t love?
A lot of you on Instagram wanted to know what did we try that we weren’t fans of…well, the apple cider donuts (dry and super sugary), the pumpkin O’s (just tasted like air, not enough pumpkin taste!) and the pumpkin ravioli was just too sweet for a dinner for me…
Ok, so those are our picks for fall 2022 from Trader Joe’s! Did we miss any of your faves? What are you most excited to try? We’d love to hear in the comments.
